This letter is to express the appreciation of Northrop Grumman Marine Systems to C & H Industrial Services for your efforts on the construction of the Electro Magnetic Aircraft Launching System (EMALS) at the Naval Base at Lakehurst New Jersey.
The EMALS equipment consisted of 6 Sea Land Trailers of electronics, a building containing a 200,000lb Generator with associated electronics and a 178-foot long Linear Electromagnetic Motor assembly.
I wish to place on record our deep appreciation for your valuable time and efforts, especially, staying long hours to accommodate us and to help us achieve the goal of building and operating the EMALS System a reality. Without your help and support, we could not have achieved this.
I also would like to thank you for the outstanding support extended to our entire Team, including Northrop Grumman Marine Systems ( Sunnyvale, Ca and Sykesville, Md. sites) and Curtiss-Wrigh Electro-Mechanical Division (New Stanton, Pa.).
